Easter project

Over the Easter break we were set the task of making a 2 minute film of anything we like, provided we included sound. So over the past week or so I decided that I wanted to remake a film, as this is something I enjoy. I watched some trailers of some of my favorite films to get ideas of what I could remake, and ended up watching a 1993 trailer for The Fugitive. I decided it would be great fun to remake, and got to it!
This is the original movie trailer:

Over most of my Easter holidays I have been staying down in Plymouth with my boyfriend in his halls, and thought it would be fun to use him and a few of his flat mates as the starring roles. I knew I wanted to make the trailer remake a bit of a comedy too, as I think there is nothing more awkward when remaking a film than taking yourself too seriously. Especially with a trailer that is as brilliantly dramatic as the one we were remaking. I went onto a site that rips mp3 files from youtube links, and therefore got the whole sound file from the original trailer, and began editing the footage I had filmed, making it fit into the sound of the original.
I am quite fond of the final result. I realised that if you are watching this remake and havent actually seen The Fugitive, then you will probably have absolutely no idea whats going on. But hopefully those who have might find it a bit of fun!

3rd-24th Feb

In these four weeks we focused on producing some draw animations in groups, then editing them ourselves together. In the second week we made animations that had to involve a bird, a ladder and a pair of scissors. This was more difficult than we first thought! To end with, lots of us ended up compiling our animations together, to make one big group one with all our drawn characters in, which worked pretty nicely.

2nd Project: 3 Minute Movie

We had to work together in groups to produce our own interpretation of any film we like within 1 to 3 minutes.
In our group of four, we decided to recreate Pulp Fiction. We went slightly over our allocated time, but we had fun and I think this is clear to see in the results!

Pirate Hit and Run

This is our debt animation we made in Moving Image. We were told to create a short animation and so I brought in some Playmobil toy figures that we could use as a group to animate. Together we ended up coming up with an animation that compirsed of an elderly woman being run down by a pirate. We are quite proud.
